Alice The Madness Returns Walkthrough Part 10 – London and the Vale of Doom
Welcome back to London and now we are after Radcliffe. Head forward and to the right, through the archway. Then head down the street to the left. You will find your destination straight ahead. Once you are inside, just head up the stairs and through the one open door on the second floor. A scene with Radcliffe happens and the ending is left ambiguous.
Alice comes to somewhere else in London. She has no idea what just happened. Now head on down the stairs. Go to the left and out the back door. Head down the alleyway. There are a number of strange things happening, just keep going forward. From London you will slide into Wonderland and a very destroyed one.
The Chesire Cat brings you up to speed. Now smash the crystallized Ruin on the Hookah and interact with it. This causes a ledge to appear and you to hear Caterpillar's words. Start climbing. Will have a few slithering ruins to deal with. At the second platform you reach you. When you reach the first steam vent, take a moment and swing to the right. You will see a bottle sitting on a nearby ledge that you will be able to reach. Grab it then continue on, timing your jump carefully from the steam vent to the moving platform. From there jump onto the rock platform nearby and deal with the Insidious Ruins. Now, once again, smash the crystallized ruin and use the Hookah to make more platforms appear and another hint from Caterpillar.
Jump from there onto the platform, then the steam vent and then the ledge. Timing is everything here so move carefully forward. Once you reach the ledge with the bottle, you need to drop down to ledge below it. There you will need to fight some Insidious Ruins and some Slithering. At the far side, take the steam vent upwards and take the small ledges to the next large rock ledge. There, head through the opening on the left to collect another bottle. Now head forward and you will find the last weapon, the Teapot Cannon. As always, this leads to a fight to help you get better acquainted with the weapon. This one involves a few Insidious Ruins and a Colossal Ruin. This time the Colossal Ruin has a Flamethrower attack you can counter with the Teapot. Jump keep moving and you will do fine against this very large foe.
Once you defeat them, a segment of Ruin will crystallize so run over and smash it with either the Hobby Horse or the Teapot. Just head on forward. Do note though that along the left there is a memory stashed behind a wall of fluid Ruin, keep this in mind. Time to take out an Insidious Ruin. The first one is up on a ledge to the left. Kill it and the wall of Ruin blocking the memory will crystallize, as will another glob opposite it. Collect the memory then return to the ledge, shatter the ruin around the Hookah and use it. Climb up using the revealed steam vent and take out the ruins who are up top to greet you. Before you press on though, look to your right and use Shrink Sense. You will see a wall with an ear and a snout drawn on it. Jump over there and head to the farther landing. Look up to find a snout on the wall. Pepper it to get a platform to appear. Take it up to the higher ledge and smash the bit of ruin that is against the wall to reveal a hidden keyhole. Through there you will find some platforms to your left. They will appear as you approach them. Climb up and you will find your way to a Radula Room. Inside this one you will need to answer a riddle from the Chesire Cat, which is “Dreams”. Do so and you will receive some Rose Paint.
Make your way back to the main path now. Head down it to the right and you will another ruin encased hookah. Smash the ruin and use it to make a platform appear. Climb onto it and take the steam vent up. Land on the large floating platform and you will be attacked by some Drifting Ruins. Defeat them, but before you destroy the wall you are prompted to, head forward and search the right edge of this platform to find a bottle. Now head over to the left and jump to the next ledge. From there take the nearby steam vent up. A series of careful jumping will get you high enough to reach a second bottle. Now hop down and destroy the wall you were prompted to with the Teapot Cannon. The platform you are on will move and you can reach the next platform.
On it you will be greeted by some Madcaps and an Eyepot. Good use the Teapot make dealing with both of these enemies a lot easier. Head on forward and you have a Malicious Ruin to contend with as well as some Insidious and Drifting Ruins. Just keep up the fight and it will not last too long.
Head on forward using the steam vents. When you drop off the next ledge, you will have to fight some Insidious and Slithering Ruins, but that should be easy by now. Again, use the Steam Vents to move forward. Things are simply until you reach the platform with the Violet. There, use Shrink Sense and you will see a plethora of moving invisible platforms. When you reach platform number three, stop a moment and look for a gauge on the far wall. It is just to the left of the nearest steam vent that you can see. Pepper it to make two more Steam Vents appear that give you a path to a memory. Head over there and grab it. From there, just make the the long jump toward the main path to your right. You know your going the right way if a Colossal Ruin emerges from the ground.
Head to the far end and smash the crystallized ruin around the hookah and use it. Use the steam vents ahead and then loop back to the left at the second steam vent. Land and use Shrink Sense to find a hidden path. Use the Teapot to blast through the crystallized ruin. Press on to find a Memory as well as a hidden keyhole behind more crystallized ruin. You will find an Eyepot and a Madcap. Head on back to the main path.
Head on ahead for a cutscene and Alice is shrunk down.
