• Aug 11, 2015 So, I've been playing this game fine up until a couple days ago. I had a Windows 7 system. Then we upgraded to Windows 10. Tried the game, worked just fine. A few days later, I try to launch the game again, and I get an EA window popping up to activate the game. It was already activated, but whatever. Put in the CD key. Window goes away, and now just won't launch at all. Really upset.
• So I get this crash everytime I play the game. I've tried all solutions like ending all processes that have to do with anti-malware programs. I've re-installed, I've changed the config file, ran it in windowed mode, ran it as admin, turned off PHYSX.

'Why are you doing this?' - Frankly we're struggling to make ends meet here especially since the site got more popular. The only way we can think to cover our costs is to run ads, but if so many of you keep blocking them..

I bought the game so my wife can play it with a new controller we bought to use with it. I'm running 64bit Win7 and have never had any other probems with origin games, so why is this simple game so difficult to get working? Ive tried reinstalling the game mulitple times (thankfully I have a 250m. And you weren't planning on getting madness returns, reconsider! It's seriously one of the most under appreciated titles of the last generation. This game is absolutely amazing from the story, to the graphics, to the game play, to the world it creates. There's so much attention to detail and cool things in it.

Another fact - We have the software and the power to completely block adblock users from our site, but we're not going to, at least for now. We figure most of you would like to support us and you only installed Adblock because of other sites that aren't so considerate with their ad placement. Please, don't punish us because of them, in the seven or so years I've been a blogger/webmaster I've ALWAYS considered the need to balance monetisation with reader experience. American McGee’s Alice behaves very curiously when installed on a Windows 10 machine. When you try to install it, the games installer seems to skip over several files during the installation process. We suspect this issue is to do with the games outdated copy protection, though we’ve never seen a title behave quite like this before.

If you’ve been struggling to play the game on Windows 10, we’ve just updated our guide and written a custom “fix” program that will install the missing files from the games CD, fix missing shortcuts and allow you to adventure with Alice once again on your Windows 10 machine. We also updated the guide and corrected some errors and omissions concerning the American McGee’s Alice HD texture pack.
